Genetics and Heredity Blog

Everyone says my mom and I look so much alike, but we really don't we just have the same color hair. I actually look a lot like my dad. Although i did get my cleft chin and curly hair from my mom, but the other things like no widows peak, ear lopes not attached, and hair on fingers from my dad. The color of my dads hair is black and my mom has red hair. The red is recessive and the black is dominate, but my sister and I didn't get black hair. I got red and she got blonde, so i don't know what happened there. The other dominate things that I have from my parents are free ear lobes, hair on fingers, curly hair, and cleft chin. The recessive things are no widows peak and no dimples.

My First Blog

This year in science class has been very fun, but one of my favorites is what we are learning now. We are learning about heredity and it is so interesting. You get to see what you got from your parents and what they carried on by there parents. Right now we are having to do a class project, and what you have to do is pick a partner that is the other gender of your pet that you made, then your going to make babies but by doing that you have to make there traits. It all depends on what your genes are. We have two girls and four boys, they aren't the cutest bunch, because im not the best at drawing, but they are still cute in a way. I can't wait to learn more interesting things in science class, and hopefully I will do good on my test!
